Seagrass Installation Artwork

Seagrass

This installation artwork is inspired by seagrass – a simple yet remarkable little plant. A single hectare of seagrass can support 80,000 fish and 100 million small invertebrates. It can also capture up to 35 times more carbon than rainforests of the same area.

Created to celebrate and memorialise organ donation, the artwork uses seagrass as a metaphor – seagrass provides the ‘Gift of Life’ for a multitude of sea creatures, in the same way that organ and tissue donors provide a lifetime for their grateful recipients.

Specification:

Powder coated aluminium seagrass, curved aluminium fish, LED lighting track, gravel & pebbles.
